the re-Union) THINGS TO NOTE! The site will (for the present)
load slower than the old one. Let me know How
you like the New 7T5 Club Site? |
Layout
I've tried to make the layout as logical and 'User Friendly' as I can.
Photographs
One or two of the photo's may not look as sharp as I would like, this is due mainly due to the fact that many were taken with 'Box' cameras and these do not always produce a quality image. That said, many are also of an excellent quality and are a credit to those who took them.
Many people have been most helpful, loaning me Albums and individual photographs which you can see on the Photo Archives Pages.
I am still looking for further photographs of activities and places around the camp. If you have any which might be 'new to me' give me a call and we'll discuss whether I have them or not.
As I've said before,I would be most grateful for the loan of any you may have stored away, and the greatest care is taken of the photo's and they (together with an enhanced and enlarged copy for your trouble) are returned as rapidly as I can get them scanned in.

Analysis of Room & Trade Photo's.
After a week or so of our arrival, we all had a formal picture taken of our 'Rooms' and we sent copies home to our proud parents. I have managed ( I think!) to gather all of these in and the analysis below shows where we were located. I hasten to say that this was the our ORIGINAL location(s), later some of us were to 'transfer' to other rooms for various reasons, and of course we were all involved in the split-up of All Entries to All Wings which occurred about six months before pass out.
Totals of 7T5 Intake - hand counted(!) from Room Photos and Trade Group Photos.

Conclusion
From the 'Difference' numbers (see right-hand column) we appear to be missing
one Engine Room Photo (11-1 or 11-2 found), one Armament
Room photo (13-2 found) and one E&I Room Photo. (16-3
found). As you can see, the numbers now balance!!
As the intake from the Entry Service Number Roll is 370, less the 7 numbers for which we have no names equals 363, the conclusion must be that four of the 'unknown' numbers must have already departed by the time the photos were taken, and the other, 3 left later. (one being McLelland, an Engine App and another D'eath who was Inst or Elect).
The Seven missing numbers may either be -
(1) Persons who took the free release in the first six(?) weeks, or
(2) persons of whom we have lost the records.
The Second hypothesis is supported by the fact that we recently realised that Bob Musgrave (A/F) was missing from our number roll, and that Kyi Win (Also A/F) is missing from the Trade photo. Furthermore, my copy of the Armament Trade photo was cut short at the left hand end.
I'm getting near to a definite figure but I'm not quite there yet!
Any clarification or additional info to the above would be appreciated.
